Michael Cox, LCSW at Veritas Mental Health in Utah, providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families

Michael Cox, LCSW

Michael Cox, LCSW, brings more than 26 years of experience to his work with individuals, couples, teens, and families. Raised in Salt Lake City and later moving to Las Vegas as a teenager, Mike’s life experiences and long career in mental health have shaped a practical, compassionate approach to helping people through difficult seasons.

Mike works with clients facing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, pornography and sexual addiction, substance use concerns, relationship strain, family conflict, faith questions, and the lasting effects of sexual abuse. He is especially experienced in working with clients who feel caught in cycles of shame, fear, or behaviors that no longer align with the life they want to build.

His approach is collaborative and connection-focused. Mike helps clients better understand the patterns beneath what they are experiencing, then works with them to develop practical tools, healthier coping skills, and greater confidence in moving forward. He believes meaningful therapy is not simply about talking through problems—it is about creating real change, restoring hope, and helping clients feel more capable in their own lives and relationships.

Mike earned his master’s degree in social work from Brigham Young University and is licensed in Utah, Idaho, and Virginia. He offers in-person therapy in Orem and telehealth sessions for clients who need greater flexibility.
