Michael Cox, LCSW at Veritas Mental Health in Utah, providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families

Michael Cox, LCSW

Therapy is more than talking about problems – it’s about healing, growth, and finding freedom from the patterns that keep you stuck. With over 26 years of experience, I specialize in helping individuals overcome eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, and sexual addictions, using compassionate, evidence-based strategies to create real, lasting change.

My approach is collaborative and connection-focused. I believe that healing happens through understanding yourself deeply and building the tools you need to move forward with confidence. Whether you’re struggling with shame cycles around food, feeling trapped by anxiety, or navigating complex addictions, I provide a safe, supportive space where you’ll feel heard, empowered, and capable of creating a fulfilling life.

I earned my master’s degree in social work from Brigham Young University, but it’s my decades of working alongside clients that have shaped my perspective: every person’s story is different, and meaningful change begins when you’re met with compassion and insight exactly where you are.

Outside of therapy, I live what I encourage in others – finding joy, balance, and meaningful connections. I grew up in Salt Lake City before moving to Las Vegas as a teenager, and I love scuba diving, mountain biking, and creating miniatures for Dungeons & Dragons on my 3D printer. To me, therapy is like life itself: discovering new possibilities, building resilience, and creating a future that feels authentic and true to who you are.
