Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major health insurances. However, we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare. Currently, we accept SelectHealth, DMBA, UMR, UHC, Regence BCBS, PEHP, Cigna, University of Utah Health Plan, Aetna, EMI, and FirstChoice Health. We recommend verifying your benefits with your insurance provider. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
I don’t have insurance. How much is a session without it?
Private sessions are $150, couples therapy is $200.
Can I use bishop pay for my sessions?
Yes, we accept payments from ecclesiastical leaders for therapy sessions. To set this up, please print and have your bishop fill out the form found at www.veritasmentalhealth.com/forms. Please note that if payment isn’t received, you’ll be responsible for the remaining balance. You’ll also need to submit any necessary statements to your bishop for payment. If you have any questions, we’re here to assist you.
What states are you licensed in?
Veritas Mental Health currently serves clients in multiple states through our licensed therapists. Veritas offers therapy to individuals and families in Utah, Virginia, and Idaho, depending on which therapist you work with. Michael Cox is licensed to provide therapy in Utah, Virginia, and Idaho, while Logan is licensed to provide therapy in Utah. If you live in any of these states, you may be able to work with us through in‑person or online (telehealth) sessions, depending on your location and therapist availability.
Does Veritas Mental Health accept Medicare or Medicaid for counseling services?
Veritas Mental Health does not accept Medicare or Medicaid for payment of counseling services. However, clients who wish to proceed as private pay clients are welcome to schedule an appointment. In such cases, Veritas Mental Health requires the completion and signing of paperwork that confirms the client is waiving their right to Medicare or Medicaid benefits. This process ensures clear understanding and compliance with insurance regulations while allowing you to access personalized mental health counseling services.
