What mental health concerns does Veritas Mental Health treat?
Veritas Mental Health treats anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, relationship struggles, faith concerns, identity concerns, eating disorders, scrupulosity, and other life stressors. Our services are designed for teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families.
Does Veritas Mental Health offer therapy for anxiety?
Yes. We provide anxiety therapy for people who are dealing with worry, panic, racing thoughts, physical tension, and the pressure to seem okay on the outside. We want to help clients understand what is driving the anxiety and learn practical ways to manage it.
Does Veritas Mental Health treat depression?
Yes. Veritas Mental Health works with people who feel exhausted, unmotivated, hopeless, or stuck. We focus on helping clients reconnect with themselves and move toward a healthier and more hopeful place.
Do we offer therapy for trauma?
Yes. Trauma therapy is one of our areas of focus, and several of our clinicians list trauma and PTSD among their specialties. Our approach is empathetic, practical, and evidence-based. We believe giving support is incredibly important, and we also want to give our clients tools to help them overcome trauma rather than just manage it.
What therapy methods do you use?
Veritas Mental Health uses several therapy approaches, including CBT, DBT, CPT, attachment-based therapy, family systems therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, relational therapy, and strengths-based counseling. These methods help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and build healthier coping skills.
Does Veritas Mental Health only treat adults?
No. We work with older children, teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families. This makes our services useful for a wide range of age groups and family situations.
Does Veritas Mental Health offer therapy for teens?
Yes. Our clinicians work with teens facing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, school stress, family conflict, and related concerns. We also emphasize family support when appropriate. Check out our FAQs on teen therapy or visit our teen therapy page under "Services" for more information.
Can Veritas Mental Health help with PTSD?
Yes. Our trauma-informed approach is designed to help clients process difficult experiences and develop healthier ways of coping.
Is therapy available outside of Utah County?
Yes. While we are based in Orem at the mouth of Provo Canyon, our telehealth options make care more accessible beyond the local area. We also provide virtual sessions to clients in the greater Utah area, Idaho, and Virginia.
What kind of therapists work at Veritas Mental Health?
We offer therapists with experience in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, sexual addiction, faith crisis, and teen counseling. Our team has a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and uses a mix of practical, relational, and evidence-based methods.
Can therapy help with faith-related stress or identity concerns?
Yes. We work with faith concerns and identity concerns in addition to anxiety, depression, and trauma. We aim to provide care that is respectful of personal values and beliefs.
What does your approach to care emphasize?
We believe in compassion, connection, practical tools, and individualized care. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we look at the deeper patterns, relationships, and life experiences behind a client’s struggles.
